Framer has rolled out an update to Workshop, now powered by Claude 4.5, bringing faster performance and improved suggestion logic. The upgrade also broadens Workshop’s reach beyond its original scope now it can operate on all code components, not just those built with Workshop.

Key updates include:

  • Introduction of a root node type (DesignPageNode), enabling plugins to open directly on design pages just like on Pages, CMS, or in the Code Editor.
  • Addition of a silent option to the closePlugin API.
  • Better sorting of results in quick actions for faster navigation.
  • Markdown support in Collection.addItems() for richer content handling.
  • Bug fixes addressing variable font crashes, top-level node positioning, date/time handling in collections, and more.
  • Four new first-party plugins:
  • Recruitee & PR.co for syncing HR and PR data with CMS
  • 3rd-Party Optimizer to enhance INP using Google Tag Manager
  • Text Search to locate text across your project

This update emphasizes smoother workflows, expanded plugin compatibility, and enhanced code-to-design integration.
